Web Design is the design of web pages, websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, images, and other media.
Usability is the way that a user experiences and uses the website. The user should be able to use and follow the website without instructions, getting lost or getting frustrated with it not working the way they think it should.
Web Development may include Web design (or semantics), programming, server administration, content management, marketing, testing and deployment. It can also specifically be used to refer to the "back end", that is, programming and server administration.
Ecommerce / Online Stores is the conducting of commerce with goods and services over the Internet. It includes: consumers using the Internet to purchase goods and services online; as well as businesses communicating and selling to each other.
Web Programming involves writing the necessary source code to create a Web site. Includes: writing the HTML pages, JavaScript and additional programs, such as PHP, ASP, that run in the Web server.
Web Marketing / eMarketing is the positioning of a web site for maximum exposure on the Internet, often using search engine optimisation (SEO), email newsletters, capturing customer information and online advertising.
